| Good news...today the 1st May the two new signs at the end of Village Street have been put in place...EDWALTON VILLAGE.. is now on the map. Thanks to the efforts of County Councillor Michael Cox the way in and to the Church is now signposted very beautifully. |

| This year marks the centenary of the visit to Canada by Oliver Watts Hind of Edwalton Hall which led in 1915 to the establishhment of Dakeyne Farm in Windsor, Nova Scotia where several hundreds of Nottingham boys went in the following decades to be trained as farmers. |

| In February, the Society learned all about Arthur Brewill, architect and soldier, and his life and achievements in the village between 1880 and 1923.His work for the church, his architectural designs and his military career in the Robin Hoods.. and his wife Kate and his sons and daughters gave John Hall much to talk about. |
